FIRING OF HIGHWAY WORKER DISPUTED IN CONCORD:
After six months, Ethan Waterman has no clearer idea of whether he will get his job back with the Concord Highway Department than he did when he was fired. But one of his supporters is trying to push the issue.
Tim Hayden, a labor representative as well as Democratic Party official in Concord, has filed Freedom of Information requests on how much the town has spent on the Waterman case and said that, at a Town Board meeting, he had asked for the resignation of Highway Superintendent Dennis Dains.
That is unlikely in a case that has turned into a political as well as labor quagmire.
